I've been told this animated picture is particularly cute, and since it doesn't animate over in the photo gallery, I have decided to post it here.

So there is something interestingly loopy going on with three sets of our families initials.

We have EC, CJ and JR Woods. Hmm I wonder what the next one will be?

Sine the last post, it seems that my parent's have taken quite a few more photos of me in various cute, funny and compromising positions. They can be found at:

Something you might find very handy - once you have clicked on a thumbnail, if you move your mouse over the picture, a 'Previous' and 'Next' button appear. Or you can hit 'n' or 'p' on the keyboard.

Wow, so I hadn't even been around for 2 weeks, and I'd already made it into the newspaper. I was told not to get too excited - that a lot of babies ge that. But still kinda cool if you ask me.

Click it for the fullsize version.

There is probably a better place to post this info, but this is a good start.

I just wanted to let all family members know that they can register as members of this site too so they can make comments and post their own family resources.

Currently, I set membership to be by invitation only, so that we don't get strangers posting objectionable material to a family friendly site. But I am more than happy to invite any family members, and once you are a member, you can invite people too - just click on "Your Network" at the top of the screen, then "Invite a Friend".

So simply email me, and I'll respond with an invitation email which has a link in it that takes you through the signup process. Simple!

After much deliberation, it seems that my parents have given me a name. Three names in fact - "Justin Rhys Woods".

Justin has it origins in Latin and means "righteous, just, fair". Rhys seems to be Welsh, but the meanings vary from "enthusiasm" to "running" and "ardour, rush".

Sounds appropriate.

My dad did some research into my astrology the other day. In his words, I can be summarised as " Honourable, sincere, compassionate, likeable leader with great fortitude, intelligence, perceptiveness and innovation". That sounds alright to me, although I'm not too sure what some of those bigger words mean.

He has summarised a few different sources of information below. So I am a Fire Boar, or Aquarius, depending what you follow, but interestingly, they agree on quite a few things:

Chinese Zodiac Summary (Maharaja): The Boar

Honesty, simplicity, very natural, great fortitude (will ‘see it through’), avoids confrontation, let bygones be bygones.

Chinese Zodiac Summary (from here): Pig

Honourable, generous (pleasure from helping others), perfectionist, highly intelligent (forever studying, playing and probing in their quest for greater knowledge), exclusive (spend time with the best, ignore the rest).

Chinese Astrology Elements Summary (from here): Fire

Charm, natural leader, impulsive enthusiasm, restless emotions, instinctual, new ideas and clever solutions, perceptive (can see straight to the heart of an issue), resolute (refuse to be swayed from a cause you believe to be important).

Star Sign Summary (from here): Aquarius

Leader (of the new age), high focus on intellectual exploration, humanitarian, objective, outgoing, amiable, innovative, non-conformist, strong beliefs.

Wow, Tuesday 5th Feb was a big day. Probably THE big day. Ok, I only have one day, but I suspect it will be hard to top for the rest of my life too.

It started typically enough - floating around, minding my own business. Things got a bit tight now and then, but it didn't worry me too much - that had been happening for a while now. But then things started getting really tight - I couldn't really have a big stretch like I liked to do. But it would pass every few minutes to give me a breather. Gradually, those breathers got shorter and shorter. And then the real pressure started - so much pressure my ears popped. And then I seemed to be running out of space too, like someone was trying to fit me into a toilet paper roll.

Then things started turning on their head, in almost every conceivable way. After all that pressure and cramped space, I emered into a huge open space with no pressure. My soft, smooth surroundings were replaced by extremes of nothingness and poking fingers. My skin even felt completely different - I became aware of the sensation of temperature where before I had assumed everything was as warm as me. Liquid was replaced by air and then I realised that I was breathing it - between my cries I was gulping in lungfuls of air. How weird. And weirder still, those poking fingers insisted on holding me upsidedown - with my head pointing up - not was I was used to at all.

But despite all of this, I soon began to realise it wasn't bad as much as it was new. A whole lot of new. Where before there was no sensation of temperature and only an inkling of inkling of smell, taste, light and sound, now there were sensations everywhere. It was a bit overwhelming at first, often entrancing me in awe, or making me cry. But among the myriad strange sensations were some very familiar ones, that made me feel secure. I was quickly placed against some soft, smooth skin that smelt familiar and I could still hear the dub-dub dub-dub sound I was familiar with. The muffled voices I was used to were there too, except all around me and much clearer than before. Maybe the hands and skin belonged to the same things the voices belonged to. That would be nice. I guess I can relax and see what happens.
